Latest News Syria: Government Bears Burden of Reconstruction

DAMASCUS, (SANA)-Minister of Social Affairs Kinda al-Shammat said the government performs its duties towards the affected citizens through the efforts of the Higher Committee for Relief which brings together all Syrian Society spectrums, referring to the economic sanctions that negatively affected the livelihood of the Syrians.

Meeting a Turkish media delegation, the Minister said that the government bears the biggest burden of the relief process, adding “the government helps the citizens return to their homes, at the same time, it carries out operations of reconstruction.”

She pointed out to the importance of media to convey the real image of what is going on in Syria and the terror practiced by the armed terrorist groups against Women and children.

The Turkish journalists, for their part, considered that the policy of Erdogan towards Syria plays a negative role in escalating the current events on the Syrian lands.

Turkish Media Delegation: Syria is Facing a War at All Levels


The Turkish media delegation stressed that what Syria is now experiencing is the result of foreign interference along with the Turkish government’s wrong policies.

In statements to SANA, the delegation members highlighted the importance of conveying the reality about what is happening in Syria to the Turkish people and expose the misleading currently practiced by media regarding the events in the country.

Touring a number of permanent residential centers in Damascus, the Turkish journalists said they noticed that women and children are most affected by the West’s policies and their tools of the terrorist groups.

Journalist Mustafa Kemal Erdemol from the Cumhuriyet newspaper said Syria is exposed to a large-scale misleading, noting that what he and the other members of the delegation heard from the Syrian citizens stresses this fact.


“The majority of the Turkish people don’t agree with Erdogan and his government’s policy,” added Erdemol, noting that he will continue to visit Syria to convey the truth about it.

For his part, Ibrahim Varli from Birgun newspaper said Syria is facing a war at all levels, calling upon journalists to clarify things and report the real picture about the situation in Syria.

Mehmet Kuzugil from the Sol newspaper, in turn, expressed his deep sorrow over what is happening in Syria which he last visited in 2007, saying Syria was the most safe country in the world. He voiced hope that Syria will go back to the way it used to be.
