Indian Delegation Briefed on Measures Taken to Reduce Impact of Crisis on Tourism Sector

Minister of Tourism, Hala al-Nasser on Thursday reviewed with the Indian delegation visiting Syria the impact of the crisis in Syria on the tourism sector, in addition to highlighting the Ministry’s measures and alternative plans to reduce it.
Minister al-Nasser considered the Indian delegation’s visit as an opportunity to inspect the reality of events on the ground, stressing the importance of being accurate, credible and professional in conveying the truth.
She pointed out to the misleading news and falsification of facts by some Arab and western media outlets as a main tool of the conspiracy against Syria.
The Minister also briefed the delegation on the damage caused by the practices of the armed terrorist groups to the tourism facilities.
The delegation members expressed solidarity with Syria, adding that Syria is facing a war due to its support of resistance and its steadfastness in the face of the Zionist-US project in the region.
Head of the Indian delegation, Feroze Mithiborwala said that the delegation is planning to hold a conference in solidarity with Syria against the global war waged on it.
In turn, Journalist Mohammad Mabshar Eddin said that he came to Syria in order to inspect the reality on the ground and convey it to the Indian people, stressing the necessity of protecting tourism facilities and archeological sites which are being vandalized and looted by the armed terrorist groups.
