People’s Assembly Ratifies Credit Line Agreement between Syria and Iran

In a session on Monday chaired by Speaker Mohammad Jihad al-Lahham, the People’s Assembly passed a bill on ratifying the credit line agreement signed in Tehran by the Commercial Bank of Syria and the Iranian Export Development Bank.
This agreement stipulates for providing a credit line of USD 1 billion to finance importing Iranian goods to Syria.
The Assembly members said that the bill will help boost relations between Syria and Iran and improve Syria’s financial and economic condition in light of the crisis, lauding Iran’s support for Syria.
The Assembly also approved a number of articles in the bill for regulating the work of the Dentists Guild.
The session was adjourned until 12 PM on Tuesday.
