Israeli aggression on Syrian sites condemned

The Coordination Office of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) strongly condemned the Israeli aggression on Syrian sites.
In a statement, the Office said that “the Non-Aligned Movement Coordination Office condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression against Syria.”

The Office, which includes 120 countries who are UN members, described the Israeli act as a dangerous violation of the international law and the principles of the UN Charter as it violated the sovereignty of Syria.

It called on the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities through clear condemnation of this aggression and adopting the needed measures to prevent its repetition.

The Office also called for holding Israel responsible for this aggression and its repercussions to avoid the deterioration of the situation in the region, which would lead to a large-scale regional war that threatens the regional and international peace and security.

South Africa Condemns the dangerous act

Meanwhile, South Africa condemned the Israeli aggression on sites in Syria, affirming that this aggression is a dangerous violation of the international law and Syria sovereignty.

In a statement on Wednesday, the government of South Africa said “We condemn these attacks which violate the international law and Syria sovereignty and territorial integrity,” considering this aggression as a dangerous escalation of the crisis in Syria.

The statement called on countries of the region to stop any military act or foreign intervention in Syria, saying that any military action in Syria will have destructive repercussions on the whole region.

Ecuador Expresses Rejection of Israeli Aggression

Ecuador said it is deeply concerned over the Israeli aggression on Syria, expressing utter rejection of it.

Ecuadorian Ministry of External Affairs, Trade and Integration said in a statement on Wednesday that its stance is based on the principle that dialogue is the sole way to realize stability and peace, affirming that hostile actions cannot establish peace.

The ministry said that Ecuador rejects Israel’s unilateral actions and violations of human rights.

Russian Communist Party Condemns Israeli Aggression on Syria

Russian Communist Party condemned the Israeli aggression on Syria’s sites, considering the attack as “a flagrant aggression against a sovereign state.”

In a statement, the Head of the party, Gennady Zyuganov said that these aggressions became possible because Israel has violated the international law for decades without any punishment, adding that these acts increase the tension in the Middle East and obstruct achieving peace in the region.

Zyuganov pointed out that these acts did not occur as a coincidence, but they occurred by instructions from the US which is trying to dominate the world, noting that these raids expose the cooperation between Israeli army and the armed terrorist groups in Syria.

    Canada Supports a Political Solution to Crisis in Syria

    OTTAWA, (SANA)- Canada has announced that it supports a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

    AFP quoted the Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird on Thursday as saying that “From our point of view the only solution to put an end to the sufferings of the Syrian people is the political solution.”

    Baird said in a statement to journalists that extremists and jihadists came from all the countries of the world to fight beside the “Syrian opposition”.

    Baird’s statements came before a meeting of the Canadian parliament to discuss the situation in Syria upon the request of the Canadian opposition.

    Iran, Jordan: Political Solution to Crisis in Syria through Dialogue

    Iran and Jordan stressed the need to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria that maintains Syria’s territorial integrity and the unity of its people through comprehensive dialogue which brings together all Syrian people.

    The comments came in a joint press conference between Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, and his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Judeh, in the Jordanian capital Amman on Tuesday.

    Salehi affirmed Iran’s total rejection of any foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs and any foreign-imposed solution, reiterating that the Syrians are the only ones who are responsible for determining their destiny.

    “Iran stands by the Syrian people and government and is making contacts with everybody. We said from the very beginning of the crisis that Iran has been in contact with the Syrian opposition and we have asked it to sit down with the Syrian government to determine Syria’s destiny and future,” he added.

    “Iran recognizes the peaceful opposition but not Jabhat al-Nusra or al-Qaeda and the others who are responsible for shedding the blood of the innocents in Syria and exhuming the tombs of solemn men of religion,” said Salehi.

    He underscored that Jabhat al-Nusra is committing terrorist crimes on the Syrian ground and these crimes are synchronized with the Israeli aggression on sites in Syria, reaffirming Iran’s support for the Syrian people in combating terrorism and confronting the aggression.

    The Iranian Foreign Minister warned of the repercussions of the crisis in Syria on all states, saying that any vacuum in Syria would have serious repercussions on the region, clarifying that cooperation between all sides is inevitable to avoid the consequences of the crisis.

    Salehi stressed that Iran supports the Syrian people economically and in the relief field, whereas other countries are supplying the terrorists with weapons and money and those are the ones responsible for the destruction of the state’s infrastructure.

    On the Iranian-Jordanian relations, Salehi said both countries possess immense potentials that can be used to serve the best interests of their peoples.

    “We hope that our two countries be in direct and constant contact on all the issues related to the region, particularly the crisis in Syria, and seek to reduce the negative outcomes that could result from these developments,” he added.

    For his part, the Jordanian Foreign Minister stressed that Jordan supports the statement of the international action group in Geneva to resolve the crisis in Syria.

    “Jordan’s position is clear in terms of stressing the need to find a political solution to the crisis that guarantees the safety and unity of the Syrian territories through a comprehensive dialogue among all constituents of the Syrian people without exception,” Judeh said.

    He noted that the talks with his Iranian counterpart touched upon the issues facing the region, and that they talked in detail about the latest developments in the region, especially with regard to Syria.

    “We stressed our firm stance on the necessity to halt violence and enter a transitional stage that guarantees a comprehensive political solution with the participation of all components of the genuine Syrian people in a way that preserves Syria’s territorial integrity and the dignity of its deep-rooted people,” Judeh added.

    The Jordanian Foreign Minister denied that any foreign forces were deployed on the Jordanian land, stressing that “No foreign forces have been deployed on Jordan’s land.”

    “Jordan, with its armed forces and their deep-rooted history, is in no need for the deployment of any foreign forces…There are training programs with armed forces from various and several foreign countries, and this has been going on since decades as there are annual and monthly training programs,” Judeh added.

    Salehi: Syrian People and Government to Decide Response to Israel’s Attack

    Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister said the Syrian response to the Israeli aggression on Syrian sites is a matter that is decided by the Syrian people and government only and nobody has the right to interfere in this issue.

    In a statement released on Tuesday, Salehi stressed that Syria is able to take the decision to respond which best suits its national interests.

    He highlighted that the developments of the events in Syria would affect all the region’s countries, pointing out that his visit to Jordan would include exchanging views on the situation in Syria to find a peaceful solution that satisfies all sides and puts an end to the crisis.

    Salehi arrived in Amman on Monday in an official visit as to discuss bilateral relations and the crisis in Syria.

    Union of Syrian Patriots in France: Link between Israel and Terrorists Is Certain

    The Union of Syrian Patriots in France on Tuesday stressed that after the Israeli aggression on Syrian sites there is no option but to adhere to the homeland and defend the country along with the Syrian government and people.

    In a statement addressed to all Syrian expatriates in the world, the Union said that the Israeli aggression was synchronized with attacks committed by terrorist groups in Damascus.

    The Union highlighted that the Israeli aggression proved Israel’s involvement in the crisis in Syria and its connections with the armed terrorist groups in the country.

    It stressed that the doubts that some had on the relation between the Israeli enemy and these takfiri terrorist groups have now become a certainty.

    The statement hailed the Syrian leadership, people and army and expressed appreciation for the achievements made by the Syrian soldiers who scarified their lives for the glory and dignity of Syria.

    Condemnations of Israeli Aggression on Syrian Sites Continue

    Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, expressed Venezuela’s strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression on Syrian sites last Sunday.

    In a statement released on Monday, President Maduro stressed that the Israeli aggression violates the international law and conventions, voicing Venezuela’s concerns over the repercussions of the attack in the Middle East region.

    The Venezuelan government stressed that this attack proves the Israeli involvement in the crisis in Syria and its connections with the armed terrorist groups in the country.

    Cuba also condemned the Israeli aggression , saying that Israel again violated the international law with the approval and contentment of the US.

    The Ministry, in a statement issued on Monday, said that the new Israeli aggression on Syria increases the deterioration of the stability in the region as well as threatens the international security and peace.

    The Ministry called on the international community to accelerate the work to prevent the escalation of the crisis in Syria.

    DPRK Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression on Syrian Site

    The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday condemned the Israeli aggression on the Syrian sites.

    Korean Central News Agency quoted a Foreign Ministry Spokesman as saying in a statement that the Israeli aggression is considered as “a dangerous violation of the sovereignty and safety of the Syrian territories and a flagrant violation of the international law”.

    He stressed that the Israeli aggressive movements were done with the approval of the US, asserting that these movements are the main reason for threatening peace and stability in the Middle East.

    “We strongly condemn the Israeli aggression and we offer our full support and solidarity with the Syrian people and other Arabic people in their just struggle in defending their countries’ sovereignty and security,” the statement said.

    Lebanese Reform and Change Bloc Leader Condemns Israeli Aggression on Syria

    Leader of the Reform and Change Bloc, Michael Aoun, condemned the Israeli aggression on Syria, considering it as a “declaration of war.”

    After the meeting of the Bloc, Aoun roundly denounced the stances which supported the Israeli aggression.He also condemned the Israeli violation of the Lebanese airspace.

    National Council for Human Rights in Egypt Condemns Israeli Aggression on Syria

    The National Council for Human Rights in Egypt condemned the Israeli aggression on Syria, stressing that it constitutes a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and a threat to the global peace and security.

    In a statement, the Council requested the United Nations to investigate the violations of the Zionist entity.

    Iraqi Foreign Ministry Condemns Israeli Aggression on Syria

    Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli aggression on Syria under pretexts that contradict with the rules of the international law.

    In a statement, the Ministry said that Iraq condemns the aggression which is considered as interference in the Syrian internal affairs.

    The statement called on the international community to stop the Israeli aggression which constitutes a threat to the regional peace.

    Asian Parliamentary Assembly Council Condemns Israeli Aggression on Syria

    The Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly denounced the Israeli aggression on Syrian sites and called upon the UN Security Council to condemn these attacks that constitute a flagrant violation of the international law.

    The Council, during its meeting in Tehran with Syria’s participation, stressed that the solution to the crisis in Syria can be reached not militarily but through internal dialogue among the Syrians without foreign intervention.

    In a statement, the Council urged all sides concerned with the crisis in Syria to exert efforts as to put an end to violence and work for the political solution that guarantees the rights of all the Syrian citizens.

    It also condemned the attacks on religious sites in Syria, the latest of which was the attack on the shrine of Companion Hujr Bin Oudai.

    Mass Rally in Yemen in Solidarity with Syria

    A mass rally took place in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Tuesday to express solidarity with Syria and condemnation of the Israeli aggression against Syria sites.

    The rally, which was organized by the Popular Committee to Support Syria, was followed by a sit-in in front of the UN Office during which the participants chanted slogans hailing Syria’s steadfastness in the face of the global conspiracy targeting it that is led by the Zionist-U.S. imperialism.

    The participants stressed in a statement that the Israeli aggression against sites in Syria constituted a transgression of all international conventions and charters and a violation of other countries’ independence.

    They called upon all the Arabs to support Syria, denouncing the recruitment of Yemeni young men and sending them to fight with the terrorist groups in Syria.

    The participants pointed out that any other aggression against Syria would make the Gulf, US and western interests in Yemen targets for the Yemeni people as a retaliation.

    They addressed a letter to the UN in which they wondered at the flagrant international contradiction regarding the war on terrorism, saying that it is odd for the UN to condemn the terrorism on the one hand and allow sending terrorists from all over the world to Syria on the other hand.

    They called upon the UN to prevent the Israeli entity from repeating such acts and support the peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria, holding the international community responsible for the humanitarian situation in Syria.
