Iraq will not Allow Using its Airspace to Attack Syria

Iraq stressed that it will not allow using its airspace to launch any aggression on Syria, warning that it will respond any Israeli violation of its airspace in case Israel has directed a strike against Iran.
Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Shahristani, said Monday in an interview with Agence France Presse that Iraq will not allow using its airspace to strike Syria as also will not allow using its airspace or territories to transfer weapons into Syria from any side.
He pointed out that the Americans were also informed not to use the Iraqi airspace and territories for this propose.
Regarding the possibility of launching an Israeli aggression on Iran across the Iraqi airspace, al-Shahristani said that “We warned Israel that if it violated our airspace it will bear the repercussions.”
