Obama: The military operations in Libya are not about “regime change”
Addressing the nation live tonight from the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., President Obama made his case for U.S. military operations in Libya:
In his speech the president made it clear that the military operations in Libya are not about “regime change” and this will not be another Iraq.
“Regime change there took eight years, thousands of American and Iraqi lives and nearly a trillion dollars. That is not something we can afford to repeat in Libya,” Obama said.
