Occupied Jerusalem, (SANA) – Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia, Atallah Hanna, reiterated the need to solve the crisis in Syria through peaceful means away from extremism as to ensure the unity of the country.
Meeting a German church delegation, archbishop Hanna said “We support any effort exerted for peace in Syria and stopping the bloodshed. We support solving the crisis in peaceful way that ensures the unity of the country, away from violence and extremism.”
He hoped that the members of the delegation will spare no effort for the release of the abducted bishops and the Maaloula nuns, stressing that those who are committing such acts do not represent any religion as all religions renounce terrorism and killing.
